DRAINING CLIP
The gres porcelain technical features (big sizes, low water absorption) can cause possibly water logging on the surface of the slab. Kronos Tecnica provides draining clips to solve this problem, to insert between the joints of the slabs only where the water residual is present.
Thanks to its shape, the draining clip can broke the superficial tension of water, improving the outflow.

02 – WALL SPRING
Designed to avoid contact between the slabs of outdoor raised floors and outside walls, the wall spring is made entirely from
stainless steel. It incorporates a damper to absorb longitudinal and transverse thermal expansion and guarantees a secure
grip. Use of these springs ensures a stable floor surface with a straight and elegant perimeter.

How to install
The correct installation of the wall spring is obtained by putting the slab in the existing space between the wing and the top of
the spring then placing the free side against the wall. During the installation, the other slabs placed create the right pressure to decrease the distance of the free side from the wall up to 0. The wall spring allows to install stable surface.

The perimeter closing with vertical in view clips is designed to solve a problem typical of many external floors, i.e. how to fill the gap around the edge when no perimeter wall is present.
This solution represents an innovative easy and elegant way to eliminate gaps around raised floors.
The system consists of two special, stainless steel clips for positioning over the head
and under the base of every pedestals placed at the perimeter.
It creates a firm seat capable of gripping the section of floor cut to size to fill the gap. The use of these clips effectively prevents horizontal movement in floor slabs.

How to install
The correct installation of the vertical in view clips for perimeter closing is performed providing two clips, upper and lower, for each support place at the open perimeter of the floor:

  • Cut the base pedestal along the precut lines of the base
  • Place the lower clip under the pedestal
  • Remove the needed tabs of the head of the pedestal
  • Place upper clip above the head of the support (Figure 1)
  • Measure the effective highness within the clip positioned over the head and the clip positioned under the base
  • Cut a portion of tile pavement to be included in the space to cover, paying particular attention to the measures just taken
    as a reference
  • If you need to create an angle, you need to cut two portion of base to create a 90° angle (Figure 2), fitting 2 lower clips under the pedestal, each one supporting one side of flooring (Figure 3). In this application the upper clip will be not fixed but only laid on the head as for clip under the base (Figure 4)
  • The minimum height to use the upper clip combined with the lower clip is 5cm:in case of smaller highness up to a minimum of 2.5cm only the lower clip can be used
