Private House – Kaag

Kaag (Holland)

This private home is in one of the most exclusive locations on the island of Kaag, in the Netherlands.
A house by the water with indoor and outdoor area of 544 m2, completely renovated by Dutch designer Patricia Cheung, from Plan2000.

A project which redeveloped a bungalow built in 1962 to create a home rich in large, light-filled spaces, with a 360-degree view of the outdoors, underlining the location’s key strength.
A place for getting close to and embracing nature, enriched with many artworks by Spanish artist Lita Cabellut and furnishings designed by Patricia Urquiola.

The project featured a large number of colours in its choice of materials, with combinations and contrasts in the distinctive modern style typical of Plan2000.

Our products were used for various areas of the home:

  • TERRA CREA POMICE: used for the floor and bespoke washbasin of the en-suite bathroom and the covering of the small fireplace in the lounge, the latter using tiles with Spakko crafted edges.
  • TERRA CREA MATTONE: chosen for the bedroom shower wall and as a decorative wall covering in Spakko version for other walls of the room.
  • LE REVERSE DUNE CARVED: this collection’s structured tiles were used for the floor and wall of the shower of the bathroom on the upper floor.
  • METALLIQUE CARRE NOIR: used as decorative feature in the shower niche of the bathroom on the upper floor.
