Sjöparken

Halland (Sweden)

Sjöparken is a resort located within Ästad Vingård, one of Sweden’s largest organic vineyards, which is also home to the Michelin-starred ÄNG restaurant.
The resort is a perfectly achieved fusion between Nordic simplicity and the Japanese tradition, designed by Danish firm Norm Architects.
This floating village, immersed in the Halland beech forest, comprises seven villas of 35 metres each, every one with a private pool and spa.
The villas are connected by elegant glass corridors which enable them to benefit fully from natural daylight, a key feature of the entire project.
The design is inspired by criteria of sustainability, with the use of natural materials perfectly integrated into the surrounded environment.

Sunlight is the dominant factor in the project, helping to create an immersive atmosphere and an intimate connection with nature.
This project is not only a refuge of tranquillity and wellbeing but also an example of how contemporary design can respect and highlight the natural landscape, offering an experience of harmony and a profound oneness with the surrounding environment.

PRODUCT USED
As previously in the ÄNG gourmet restaurant, Norm Architects cleverly combined natural wood with the elegance of the Le Reverse stone-look collection.
The bathrooms of all the villas were tiled with the Dune Elegance version, chosen for its refined, modern style.
The corridors connecting the various villas and the outdoor areas, on the other hand, were paved with the Dune Carved anti-slip version, in 60×120 size.
The bush-hammered finish provided not only safety but also a sophisticated aesthetic, adding both personality and practicality to the design scheme.
